Space Description

Yogyakarta is a center of art city of Indonesia, there are a lot of creative space here, but most are for visual arts and performance, not many places to explore creative music here. A lot of musical talents there, a lot of independent music events that has not been facilitated.

Scientific knowledge about the effects of music and music making is constantly expanding, Ethnictro has taken a global leadership role in supporting music research. Research expands understanding about the impact of music making and music education, the importance of music at every stage of life, and relationships between music and physical and emotional wellness. We offer insight into how musical experience affects brain function across the lifespan.

Ethnictro units non-profit organizations, schools, and businesses working to assure that music education is supported in communities everywhere, and that all children have the opportunity to learn and grow with music. Receive regular communications about podcasts, webcasts, forums, and connect with an international network of music education advocates.

Ethnictro established in 2008, was a music course for the first time, then evolved into a container for creative music. Ethnictro advances active participation in music making across the lifespan by supporting scientific research, philanthropic giving and public service programs. A supporting organization of Ethnictro is funded by members through trade association activities and income forms the course.

The space occupies the building in the city center, very close to the royal palace, which is a UNESCO cultural heritage. The building is a rental house.
